My Music and Reviews

"We have listened to several Patsy Cline Tribute singers in recent years and can honestly say that Mary Pfeifer is by far the best !  Several we have listened to sing in theaters in Branson, Missouri, as they always have one or two Patsy Cline Tribute shows.  We have found none of them to come up to Mary's level in voice or in their tribute!  We recently were entertained for the third time by Mary at the Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Illinois.  She is very impressive and wonderful to listen to sing!"

The Simply Patsy Show was an outstanding concert at Sun City of Huntley. The residents and guests are asking for me to book this show again already! I highly recommend this entertainer . You will not be disappointed with this artist.

I saw an evening performance of "Simply Patsy." This gal does indeed pay a wonderful tribute to the Patsy Cline. With Mary's robust, velvety alto voice, it was difficult to recognize that I wasn't hearing Patsy. Between numbers, Mary verbally weaves the tale and history of the determined and talented Patsy Cline. Great show!!

I wanted to thank you again for an incredible afternoon of music! Our patrons are still talking about your memorable and engaging performance. It was almost as if Patsy was really at the Palos Heights Library! Wishing you all the best and keep singing

After attending your show yesterday at Country Mansion, I am really looking forward to hearing you again. Your tribute show was outstanding, every song, every bit of information about Patsy and about you, your costumes which lend authenticity to the show-- all just wonderful. When you sang 'Through the Eyes of a Child" with no music, we were all in awe and the hair on our arms was standing up. Beautiful.

Patsy Voorhees, Streator

To the Editor:

I hope everyone got a chance to go to Engle Lane to see the fabulous "Patsy Cline." What a voice this Mary Pfeifer has. A lot of people leaving commented she even sounded better than Patsy. And the true story "friend" played by Kelly Johnson was a real live wire, even danced in the aisles. And the entire band was great, including some Streator talent.

The Times always asks, "What are you proud of in Streator?" I'd say "Community Players of Streator."

We would have driven to Chicago or Joliet to see such talent, at a price five times higher. Mary Pfeifer (Patsy) even greeted us going down the aisle to shake hands inside the doors. Wow, how often does that happen? You felt you were listening to and seeing the real Patsy Cline. What a great way to end the 2009 season, Engle Lane, congrats.
